Summer Place is 132 homes strong

Summer Place is our home. This subdivision consisting of 132 single dwelling homes is nestled between Chert Pit Road and Joe Hinton Road. Our streets were named for the children of the developer with the exception of Summer Spring Boulevard

Development began in 1989 with the first homes constructed in 1990. Final homes were completed by 1994.

Homes range between 2,000 and 4,000 square feet. One really nice feature is that our homes do not share one or two designs. Many subdivisions are so “cookie cutter” in that all the homes look the same.

We have a very convenient location— we are close to West Town Mall, the interstate, the airport, and downtown (especially using Middlebrook Pike). Our access has also been improved with the Gallaher View Road expansion project.

Alternatively, proceed north Henley Street next to Holiday Inn Select. Turn left onto Western Avenue. Proceed to 4th traffic light and Turn LEFT onto UNIVERSITY AVENUE which becomes  MIDDLEBROOK PIKE.  Turn RIGHT onto JOE HINTON ROAD for 3/4 of a mile. Turn LEFT onto JENKINS ROAD and proceed for 1/4 of a mile.  Turn RIGHT onto SUMMER SPRING BOULEVARD. 

From the Airport, take Alcoa Highway to I-140 West exit to Knoxville and proceed to Exit 1C, and bear right to exit onto I-40 East. Take Exit 378 Cedar Bluff Road and turn left onto Cedar Bluff Road. Proceed until 5th traffic light and turn right onto Old Cedar Bluff Road. Turn right onto Middlebrook Pike. Turn left at first traffic light onto Chert Pit Road. Turn right at fourth street on right (Jenkins Road). Proceed approximately 3/4 mile and turn left onto Summer Spring Boulevard.
